I am an Intuitive Therapist in private practice in the Toronto, Canada area since 1997.

Much of my career, I’ve specialized in treating emotional trauma and phobias.  As long as I’ve been a counsellor, I’ve used the trauma treatment technique Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and I LOVE the results my clients achieve with it!  It never gets old for me to assist clients release and get out from under traumas they’ve carried with them for years…sometimes decades!  The results of EMDR treatment are profound, often rapid, and long-lasting.

When I talk about trauma, people are sometimes taken aback…they think “trauma” means Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  While I have worked with people who have PTSD, trauma is on a continuum and can take the form of little things that push your buttons (who doesn’t have those?) to full-blown PTSD.  I believe that most have trauma, big or small, but most of us do not have PTSD.  EMDR is very effective with all traumas and triggers big or small.

For the past few years, I’ve been working on a protocol that aims to release subconscious trauma.  This may include trauma experienced as babies or toddlers, repressed trauma, and intergenerational (inherited) trauma.  Subconscious traumas do not need to become conscious in order to be released.

I also love working with couples, usually first concentrating on releasing triggers.  Emotional triggers are often based in trauma, and it can be VERY difficult (seemingly impossible!) to “let them go” without a specific trauma intervention.  Untreated triggers can truly wreak havoc on the relationships of even the most devoted couples.  Often, once the triggers are gone, the couple doesn’t even need therapy…they just needed not to be triggered in times of disagreement.
